Brad Boekes

Technical Program Manager

Brad Boekes is an engineering director and technical program manager with 30 years in airborne systems, embedded software, and avionics integration. He has led requirements, integration, and verification teams on the Boeing 777 and 787, Airbus A350, and Primus Epic platforms, and has taken part in SOI audits on 777 upgrade programs.

Brad Boekes is technical program manager with 30 years of experience in airborne systems engineering, embedded software development, avionics integration and engineering leadership. His work spans both Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA) and federated architectures, including the Boeing 777 AIMS, the 787 Common Core System, and Honeywell Primus Epic.

Brad began his career at Honeywell as a systems integration and test engineer on flight management, BITE, and central maintenance systems, and went on to hold lead roles across the full development life cycle. He served as integration lead for Communications Management Function (CMF) datalink on the 777 and 787, led system requirements and design for a 777 displays upgrade through lab debug, formal verification, flight test support, and SOI audits, and directed teams of up to 40 engineers on Honeywell's touchscreen controller program. His program experience also includes FMS control display verification at GE Aviation, model-based development and verification of auto-flight control laws at Collins Aerospace, A350 fire protection system specification and verification at Meggitt, LynxOS-178 integration and structural coverage at Rockwell Collins, and electrical power and avionics requirements and test planning for Blue Origin's New Glenn.

As a program leader, Brad has managed portfolios of more than 25 concurrent programs, stood up an engineering services practice from the ground up, and built business and quality management systems to ISO 9001 and AS9100. He works with suppliers and OEMs on program planning, cost and schedule accountability, risk management, and proposal scoping, with a focus on fast execution without loss of deliverable quality.

Brad holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from North Dakota State University and has completed DO-178B/C and DO-254 certification training. He develops in Ada, C, and C++ and has authored systems, software, and hardware certification documentation and test plans across commercial, defense, and space programs.
